Release notes WIS, edition 2013-1 (May 5, 2013)

This edition of saab Wis workshop information system is distributed as a backup for those distributors who do not have access to the Web WIS application.
From and including the 2010-1 edition, WIS is supplied on a DVD (5 car models x 14 languages).

This edition includes the Saab 9-4X MY11 crossover, initially introduced in the US, Canada and Mexico markets.

This DVD contains approximately 200 Technical Advisory (TA) documents, issued by Saab Technical Support. This type of document is archived in the Newsletter tab in WIS. Tech tips are in English only.

Installation

Note: These instructions assume that your DVD drive is “D”. If this is not the case, replace the letter “D” with the letter of your DVD drive.

Insert the DVD into the drive of the computer. Click the Windows “Start button” and select “Run” from the File menu.
The five car models included on this DVD must be installed separately from their respective directories on the DVD.

Avoid installing more languages ​​than you really need on your premises.

The content of the support material must be written in English.

Open the troubleshooting document (Saab only)
A crash was detected when the troubleshooting document is opened with the “Open” button.

Recommended method: Double-click the desired diagnostic diagnostic code in the list to get the correct troubleshooting information.
Server installation
For this edition there have been no changes in WIS that affect the functions of the program.
Therefore, during the server installation of this WIS edition (2012-2 edition), it is not necessary to reinstall the client program on computers running WIS over a network.
Consequently, it is sufficient to install the data (text documents and images) on the server.
