Programming can be accessed in the presence of a dealer. Works with the following

original interfaces required: wiTECH VCI Pod, StarSCAN, StarMOBILE. Possibly works with third party Vector Hardware interfaces: CANcardX, CANcardXL, CANcaseXL, CANcardXLe, CANboardXL.

The Chrysler Diagnostic Application (CDA) replaces the EDT2 in both the PC and StarSCAN versions. The StarSCAN version of CDA is compatible with version E4.0X and will end its life at the end of 2009. For StarSCAN CDA help and documentation, see the latest user guide for E4.0X. The PC version of the CDA will continue to be supported.

When running CDA on a PC, a vehicle communication device (commonly known as a “pass-thru” device) is also needed, as the PC itself does not have the necessary hardware to communicate with a vehicle. The StarMOBILE and wiTECH service tools, CANcardX, and the Vector XL family of devices are CDA compliant pass-through devices. The following diagrams help illustrate the types of settings that can be used with the Chrysler Diagnostic application.
